tk, I'd say start with some crank bros clipless pedals like the eggbeaters and some nice shoes. Then anything else that needs upgrading.

yeah, just off my head, i need pedals, brakes, new wheels and tires. my bike is at least 10yrs old with outdated components.
oh, i also need a crankset because i banged it up pretty bad and now it's damaged.
it could be cheaper to buy a new bike...
