making beats
How many of you musical folk are using AI to create synths/new sounds/mastering/sample editing or whatever?
I'm looking for some inspo considering this week I made a simple webgame for a major client in Codex and it's made me think "what else can i do?"
- So far, I don't.ApeRobot
- i am writing my own instrument using teh Maschine + hardware as the controller. Combining a loop pedal + amiga tracker style sequencing working side by sidemantrakid
- Plus writing my own synths and audio effects to get close to the vibe of things like the Chase Bliss 'tape' and 'granular' style of effects. its fucking wild.mantrakid
- Nope.cruddlebub
- chopgrid.comautoflavour
- built a mac app, the ported it vst3 for mac/pc and ipad ios..autoflavour
- don't worry AF i'll get your chopgrid app. I love the idea of it. Did you build the whole thing using AI? Maybe you're my inspiration for this post :-)Ianbolton
- the coding is AI, the design/graphic/UI elements was all my own photoshop work.. and all the samples in the Drum machines are my own recordings of my studioautoflavour
- what i would suggest is if you are thinking about making something, do it properly the first time.. i messed around in SWIFT and then had to rebuild the entireautoflavour
- app using JUCE/C++ once i realised i couldnt use do things like use external audio interfaces etc.. so yep, use JUCE as your baseautoflavour

- trying to understand the use of 4:3 herefuturefood
- 4:3 keeps you focused, keeps it intimate, also the Edison lcd screen is 4:3prophetone
- vice magazine vibes_me_
- Will watch for sure.jagara
- Are you aroused because you're imagining how far their intimacy goes, Pali? This is a profoundly intimate trailer.Ianbolton
- No, it's rather the intimacy I'm having with them through the camera.
#nocuckpalimpsest - Ian, you've put me in the register of desire: waiting outside an act I'm not in. I'm in the drive. The aim is not the goal, the satisfaction is in the circuit.palimpsest
- The camera isn't between me and them. It's the only place the intimacy exists. The gaze is the objet a, and there is no sexual relation, not for me...palimpsest
- ... not for them, not in 4:3. mort_ said it already: the trailer is the object-cause, the film is the disappointment. #cenestpasçapalimpsest
- Futhermore, the camera offers an intimacy through framing that being in the room would not.palimpsest
- Being in the room removes the frame and delivers the Real of the other's body. That is not more intimate, it is unbearable.palimpsest

Artificial Intelligence
Opus 5.5 is pretty amazing...this is a JavaScript animation it generated, all done from code
- well I'll be damned. pretty reffing cool. is that yours?_niko
- Yeah crazy huh? It uses WebGL and all of that is coming from plain JavaScript, not using any libraries or files. The sound also generated by JS.yuekit
- That’s nuts!mort_
- Them not going into image generation was really on brand when they can do this type of stuff.palimpsest
- I have a very minimal setup and do everything on the terminal. Even though the other can do the same it just felt better to have Claude use existing tools...palimpsest
