"very special needs" something about adding very to the beginning made me laugh.
debate last night John McCain talking about Palin:
"She'll be my partner. She understands reform. And, by the way, she also understands special-needs families. She understands that autism is on the rise, that we've got to find out what's causing it, and we've got to reach out to these families, and help them, and give them the help they need as they raise these very special needs children."- I think he mixed up his special needs therecapsize
- I almost puked when he brought that up out of left field. So desperate...somatica
- but the question was - Is your running mate fit to be president? He didn't answer that.bulletfactory

Hey I'm starting to like this guy running for the House out of N.C. - 4th District, BJ Lawson. Yes he's a Republican, but I believe he represents the old school conservatism that is basically dead with the current right. Anyhow, thought I'd post it and see if any of you had the stomach to help de-seat a Democrat incumbent who voted for the Patriot Act and for the Bailout. Btw, this article is written by a staunch Dem, on a liberal website, so hopefully you won't feel too dirty reading it.

"I have a lot of hostility toward the misguided ideas and people who are pushing the Republican party off the cliff," Lawson said. "But I look at this pragmatically. I'm a Republican. I want to make a difference, and we're in a two-party system. I want to reform from within. "
Some Republicans are taking note. Wake County GOP Chairman David Robinson said his group endorsed Lawson unanimously. "B.J. has new ideas and his message has matured over time. His focus is very much on limiting the federal government. He's energized a younger crowd, and that's good for us."
David Smudski, who replaced Parrish as Durham County GOP chair, offered guarded praise. "He's not traditional, but he is different than what a Democrat would offer."

I wonder when McCain realizes he's just going to really lose this thing and say "fuck it" and go for some product placement ads for the weeks left to pump some more money into his wife's beer fortune...
"Well, my friends, the media may call you Joe Six Pack, but around our homes we call you "Joey Budweiser!" [*cue Cindy. She waves, smiles ] [ *enter Palin on sled stage right pooled by the "Budweiser Moose Team" ]
