the problem is you are using a borrowed mac from a school, you know how many frat parties, one night stands, ghey frat parties, drunk ghey frat parties that comp has prob been through??
an eMac by all standards has always been crap and meant for elementary and middle school kids. try and borrow an iMac next time at least. you'd even be better off with a Mac mini.
