I own stock in a peruvian mining company that i feel horribly guilty about...i couldn't possibly buy an oil stock on top of that. it goes against everything i believe in.

a whole bunch of long boring overintellectualized stuff with no snappy phrases to sum it up; the kind of stuff that's best mulled over a few rounds of beers, which is actually one of my core beliefs.

just got back from a truly moving, unearthly beautiful sail on a sailboat out past the statue of liberty in honor of jess yen. We scattered her ashes overboard, many of them blew back on us, into my wine glass, etc. cried and exchanged stories with her wild group of farflung friends many of whom we had never met, including her younger brother Jeff. Prilla and I swigged red wine from a bottle the whole way home.

yes, it was a wonderful time, actually, sad in a good way, lots of laughing, plenty of alcohol as befitted jess. the official sanctioned party as specified in her will is in early october
