Not sure you like foreign references but here's a thought:
polvo = "octopus" in Portuguese (dust-dweller).
polvo = "dust" in Castillian/Spanish
piovra = "octopus" in Italian. Connotation to "mob", "mafia".- Great band!chris_himself
